Designing in Illustrator with Flash in Mind

Working with Adobe's two most powerful vector applications doesn't need to be difficult, especially when using them together effectively. Illustrator expert Mordy Golding shows how to set up Illustrator with Flash in mind, how to work with groups, layers and styles, and explains 3D effects and artwork mapping.
Golding also demonstrates how to work with type, how to create and use symbols, and provides insider hints and guidelines. Emphasis is on creating Illustrator files that will export most efficiently and smoothly to Flash using Live Paint, Live Trace, and Live Effects.
Mordy Golding has been a production artist for print and the web for many years, and is an Adobe Certified Expert and Adobe Certified Print Specialist. At Adobe, he was the product manager for Illustrator 10 and Illustrator CS.
A popular presenter at Macworld, Photoshop World and other worldwide events, Mordy is also the author of several books, including SAMS Teach Yourself Adobe Creative Suite All in One, The Web Designer's Guide to Color, and Real World Adobe Illustrator. In 2003, Mordy was named a Champion of Graphic Design by Graphics IQ. Currently he serves as the founder of DesignResponsibly.com, teaching designers and printers how to successfully adopt today's new technology.

Introduction to Studio 8
Sessions on November 14 and December 5
In this seminar, you will receive a high-level overview of the products included in Studio 8. We will explain each product's role in a modern web workflow and how the products work together to increase your productivity and efficiency. You will learn about all of the exciting new features in each of the products in Studio 8. We will then briefly demonstrate each product's use, touching on a few of these new features in Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8 and Flash Professional 8 along the way. During this one hour event, you will receive a brief overview of the products
included in Studio 8, followed by an in-depth look at Dreamweaver 8. During the demonstration portion of the seminar, we will look at many of the key features - both old and new, which have made Dreamweaver the defacto choice for HTML-based websites and applications. You will experience Dreamweaver 8\'s revolutionary support for CSS and XML, along with productivity enhancements for both designers and developers. We will also touch on Dreamweaver\'s unique application development features for
building ColdFusion, PHP, JSP, ASP and ASP.Net sites. Finally, you will also learn how the inclusion of Contribute 3 in Studio 8 can help eliminate the "webmaster bottleneck" by allowing content contributors to make simple web updates.
