Dean Velez, an Adobe After Effects Master, is teaching 3 levels of AE here at the Savannha College of Art and Design Atlanta Campus. The new Professional Development Center located on the Midtown campus of SCAD is hosting classes for design professionals beginning the week of 11/27/06. User Group discounts available!

Adobe After Effects, an industry standard for creating 2-D animation and visual effects, is used to create motion graphics for broadcast, film, video and the Web. This two-part course offers instruction in the essentials of choosing bit-depth, velocity graphs, creating projects, importing digitized video footage, importing PhotoShop and Illustrator files and altering time codes.

Topics to be covered in the fundamentals course include key framing, typing and animating text, velocity compositing with masks, previewing and rendering transfer modes and basic rendering options. The intermediate course covers T-Switch and stencils, incorporating expressions into the workflow, keying with key light, working with null objects and creating compound effects.

Vermon Brint's Gravatar I'm not sure what the hold-up is...as said in http://www.filmtourguide.com maybe they have re-thought their stance on how this is going to actually make the company any money. Or perhaps their lawyers pointed out the liability of providing agents a platform to stick their feet in their mouth. Whatever it is, it's hardly something I'd claim as being "Well done".
